Ezekiel learned about the Method of Loci when he was eleven, and he had it figured out within six months. And he’s saving the opportunity to rub this in Flynn’s face when it’ll bring the sweetest satisfaction, too because you’re not the only one who knows how do intelligent things, CARSEN.

However, he’s always appreciated efficiency, so instead of a memory palace, per se, he has a memory office that’s full of filing cabinets. Each cabinet is labeled: Security Systems. People I’ve Pissed Off. Safe Houses. Stash Spots. So on and so forth.

There are a few cabinets that are marked Do Not Open Ever Again; those are the files he can’t put through the shredder, even though he wants to, and they usually find a way to jump out at him at the worst times.

But the biggest cabinet, though, is The Shit List (With Receipts), with file folders on everyone in his team. Yes, everybody.

Eve only has one folder (most of the files have to do with training sessions and running laps). Flynn has seven (filed mostly under Just Existing and General Dickishness and Assholery). Cassandra has three (largely marked Stupid Magical Forest Summer Camp). The person who actually has the most is Jacob (most of them marked Designation: Useless Husband since Ezekiel’s never been able to let go of an argument he didn’t win in his life).

The only person who doesn’t have one is Jenkins. Because that old badass is his Friend and has Never Done A Thing Wrong In His Blessed Knightly Life.

Ezekiel can and will fight someone about this.
